Tree of Knowledge

We are excited about a new part of our education program for our younger kids called “The Tree of Knowledge”.  A large tree has been placed in the hallway of the younger kid’s classrooms.

The goal of the program is to provide organized and continual review of basic Bible facts and memory verses for all our kids from 2 years old through the 6th grade.  As a child masters the specified goal for that quarter, his or her name will be put on an apple and placed on the “Tree of Knowledge” for everyone to see.  The 3rd through the 6th grades that meet upstairs have a similar recognition system with banners to accomplish the same purpose.

The goals for each quarter will be posted here on our website so you can stay informed.  The spring quarter goals are listed below.  We hope that parents will take this opportunity to be involved by helping their child at home to learn the current goal for his or her class and to review all the past ones.  Since this review will generally take place the first few minutes of Bible class, we encourage parents to make sure their child arrives to class on time.  Our Bible classes begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings and at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights.

Some of the kids already have apples on the “Tree of Knowledge” and we hope that soon it will be full of names!
